Joy began dancing with the B.A.D. family in 1985. Throughout her years as a student, she also danced with Buffalo Ballet Theater, Buffalo Inner-City Ballet Company and American Academy of Ballet. Joy is working to complete her Dance Masters of America certification in dance education. She currently teaches ballet.
Joy received her doctorate in Pharmacy and has worked as a pharmacist at Wegmans for the past 14 years. Joy is also the proud mom of two fantastic kids that, along with her ballet students, keep her on her toes.
Sara has been a member of the B.A.D family for over 20 years. She teaches acro and jazz .
When she's not at the studio she likes to relax and hang out with friends. She's currently a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Jaela has been a member of the B.A.D. family since 1990; first as a student, then assistant, and now teacher. She earned her elementary education degree and Masters in Reading. She is a certified Pre K-6 teacher, having taught second grade in the Orchard Park School District for the past 16 years.
Jaela teaches combination and "Me + 1" classes. She is married with three children, and all three girls are also proud dancers at Barb Denny's Studio of Dance Arts.
Kelsey has been a member of the B.A.D family for over 20 years. As a student, she studied many different styles of dance, and over the past 10 years has taught ballet, acro, tap, and jazz. Currently, she teaches tap and jazz.
Kelsey earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and currently works as the Director at a local child care center. Kelsey is recently married and enjoys spending time with her husband, and hanging out with friends and family.
Laurie has been a member of the B.A.D. family since 1980. She has studied with Barb Denny, Beverly Fletcher, Maris Battaglia, The American Academy of Ballet, Luigi's Jazz Center and Broadway Dance Center NYC.
Laurie has been teaching at B.A.D. for 10 years. She has also taught at DMA's PAC Workshop (Detroit) and DMA's SHIP and TTS programs.
Laurie has a B.S. in Business Administration. She freelances as a public relations professional and paralegal.
Holli has been a member of the B.A.D family for over 20 years. She has studied many dance styles, and received her BFA in Dance and Choreography from the University of Buffalo where she was also a member of Zodiaque Dance Company. Currently, she teaches jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. When not teaching, Holli can be found around Buffalo dancing with local performance groups such as The Bird's Nest Circus Arts, Devi Bollywood Dance, and Foxy Diamondz. Her love of learning and being versatile in many dance forms has helped Holli create a unique style that she shares with her students which allows them to have a strong technical foundation with freedom of expression on top.
Sam has been a member of the B.A.D family for 22 years. She teaches tap.
When Sam isn't at the studio, she likes to travel and can probably be found in Disney. Sam graduated from Medaille college with a degree in early childhood education. She is currently a toddler teacher at Kids Korner.
Katie has been a part of the Barb Denny’s family since 1984 and a staff member since 1994. Katie loves dancing and throughout her life she has had experiences with all types of dance. Katie currently teaches the adult dance classes (tap & jazz) and has since 2014. Katie has been married since 2005 and has two daughters who have also started their dance journey’s. When Katie is not at the studio, she enjoys spending time with her family doing various activities from going to the movies to traveling on vacations. Since 2009, Katie has worked for Heritage Centers as a Medicaid Service Coordinator. Since 2012, Katie has worked part-time at Project Coach through CSDD.
Michael has been a member of the B.A.D. family for over 20 years. As a performer, Michael was a two-time title winner and high scoring competitor. He has performed at Walt Disney World and worked on an instructional tap video entitled "Tap Works" with Beverly Fletcher and Sam Viverito.
Michael was a guest choreographer for Zodiaque Dance Company at the University of Buffalo. He has also traveled to Mexico to teach and judge for Interdanza.
